
The
Alder Foundation is a registered Canadian public foundation
established in 2000 by the Walker Family. It is incorporated under
the Society Act of British Columbia, Canada.
The Foundation supports numerous charitable organizations throughout
the world via their Canadian operations or headquarters. Under Canadian
law, the Foundation can only provide grants to registered Canadian charities. In its first five years, the Foundation has worked with
Canadian organizations to implement projects in Uganda, India, Brazil and
Ivory Coast, as well as urban projects in New York City, USA and
Vancouver, Canada, as described on this site.
